JD300 backhoe leaking help

My backhoe is leaking hydraulic fluid from the cylinder nearest the bucket. Picture shows where its leaking. I have someone that is familiar with taking these apart and able to do the fix but I went to the JD dealer and they said there are no aftermarket rebuild kits or gaskets available for this cylinder. They said my only option from them is buying a replacement cylinder for $2500. Any help on where I can get a new seal for this? Thanks for any help!!

How about giving us some model numbers for the hoe? Should be a tag on it somewhere that will identify what it is. We will try to help.

Model of the tractor might help too, but the hoe is most important.

There are businesses that specialize in rebuilding hydraulic cylinders. Find one locally. Remove cylinder, they fix it for you, you put it back in, leak gone.

Alternatively, find a new aftermarket cylinder and just replace it. I have a JD model 48 backhoe and have done that twice with cylinders that I have screwed up. Mine is much smaller than yours, but the principle is the same. I picked mine up from Magister Hydraulics. I've been very happy with them. JD wanted $1500 for a replacement cylinder. Picked up a compatible one from Magister for $300. However a perfect fit is nearly impossible, so some adaptation will probably be needed.

Its a john deere 300 series tractor and loader i think? Serial number on loader is SNE 0092001595U. Serial number on tractor is SNT 4W3D 029793T.

Remove it and take it to a hydraulic shop. They will rebuild it and it shouldn't cost a lot either.

Let's try that again.
What is the part # that the dealer had for that cylinder that they would/could only replace?
JD parts for the 9200 backhoe (may not be the correct one)
