Looking 3320
Hello,
I have a 3320, got an err 36 this am and cant find the meaning. Anyhelp?? Also, I have several leaks to address, the macine is about 30 mo old with 125 hours. Any idea if that fancy financing insurance JD makes you by cover anything like that?? I know if I crush it they will fix it, but this BS may be considered "normal wear and tear" Any help would be great!!!
Thanks
Joe

The technical manual does not list an err 36. They go from err 01 to err 15 then pick back up at err 50 to err 77. Could you have read it wrong?

What kind of leaks?

Hello,
Yup, you got it right. I wrote it wrong, it is actually a 63 which seems to do something with directionals. I checked them and the lamps work. When the err code it on I put the directionals on and it goes. No big deal whereas it does not leave my yard. As far as the leaks go, I have on outrigger that sags bad and there is residue on the cylinder. I have the hose that on the 8' backhoe that runs to the center knuckle (when hoe is up in its locked cradle position it is the highest point on the hoe right below the knuckle pin.) I also have a seal on the front right wheel, seems to be right where the hub meets the wheel. I am figuring they will say this is normal wear and tear and no warrenty applies, what are your thoughts?
Thanks

Joe

They should fix all those leaks...The one exception might be the front hub seal if they find something external damaged it-like a rock, stick, or twine wrapped around it.

Err 63 is no left turn signal on the ROPS.

I just rebuilt both of my stabilizer cylinders. They both have had a very slight leak just about since I bought the unit used 12 months or so ago. I believe my problem was due to the tractor being parked outside by the previous owner with the stabilizers up and the cylinder ends exposed to rain. There was rust on the cylinder wall of each cylinder down to the gland o-ring. I touch sanded the rust off and installed the rebuild kits and have hand no problem since. The first cylinder took me 75 minutes total which included taking it off and putting it back on the backhoe. The second cylinder took 45 minutes. It is a very simple task. You can buy the kits from Baums for under $10 each.

I can understand how your hoses at the boom and dipperstick joint can leak. One of the hoses on mine that pass through that area is just a tad short, I have had no issues yet, but I look for hose wear often.

I am with kennyd on leaks not being normal wear and tear.

A good dealer should help with tractor leaks but keep in mind the backhoe does not have the same warranty it is only a year so might be tougher to get warranty, would not be surprised if it is not covered.

Thanks guys, I think the hud was nothing more than a full bucke of rocks and my front tire crawling over another big flat rock. I figured it just squished the seal and would stop leaking.....but it did not :(

I will talk to the dealer, the hose on the dipperstick is at the fitting, not evn the hose, there is no wear there.

This baby is 30 months old or so, so I figure I am on my own....but manytimes TBN members have a "secret plan" that gets me where I need to be. It will be easier for me to fix than getting the machine to them, I will call them first anyhow.
Thanks again!!
Joe
