JD430fel question

   / JD430fel question #11
Kevin,

Thank you for the information. I talked to the service manager of the dealer where I bought my 4300. He did not seem to know that there was a service solution issued on the cylinders. While I have no problems with the cylinder now, I want to make sure that if they leak again, I have all the info I can.

I think I will call a few more dealers in the area today.

I talked to two more dealers and they said there was a few 430 loader cylinders that failed but that Deere has made good on the repairs even after the warrantee period was up.

Kevin, of course the best thing to do is get the cylinders fixed so you don’t have the drop problem but here is a good safety set up even with the cylinders fixed. If you measure the length of your cylinder when it is at the position you would want for a lift, take a piece of pipe of the appropriate diameter, cut an opening the length of one side and place it over the cylinder. This will give you a solid safety stop even if some one hit the loader control by accident.
