Yea that's what I did when I first bought my property. Traded a truck for an old MF65. It was about 17k lbs and even in late April it would sink everywhere and make a mess. It was fun to have a backhoe to pull out all the trucks bogging the back field though.

Now that the yard is somewhat together I don't want to mess with that anymore. Perhaps if I had more acreage I'd go full-size again, but not at this house.

That is good to know you know better than to go to small:thumbsup:
Compacts don't hold a candle to a full sized hoe....I think my tractor is a good in between

Are you able to haul your machine in your signature with a single wheel pickup?

My rears are loaded with calcium chloride..565lbs each...with the hoe and the loader on it it is about 8000lbs so you need a 10k gvw trailer...2k for the trailer and 8k for the load with a 20ft deck....so yea, an older 3/4 ton or a late model 1/2 ton with a 10k or better tow capacity would do it.

My trailer is to small, 7k 16ft.. (5500 load 1500 for the trailer).My dad has a 10k 20ft if I needed it.. which I have not.when we moved I roaded it about 15 miles. one way...sold my old place to my son, drove there at night twice this last winteri 3o miles round trip in a blizzard to dig him out.....Don't know what your budget is, but I really enjoy my factory cab With heat, AC, stereo,tilt cruise 3 cupholders etcTakes all the discomfort out of miserable weather.
