Jd950. & jd3020 implements working together

Hey everyone. I’m hoping someone could help me. I have a jd 950 with a tiller. I also have a jd3020. I’m trying to hook up the tiller to the larger machine but the linkage does not line up and the drive shaft is too long. I am reading about category 1&2 quick couplers but is that even what I need.

The JD950 is a 100% Yanmar YM4300 made machine in Japan in JD green paint. It is the classic CAT-1 3-point.

You need to purchase another PTO shaft and modify it to the proper length to use the tiller on the JD3020.

What model rotary tiller do you have? Is it the Deere one with the machine as new? Then it could-be a Yanmar domestic made unit by some of the well known brands today.

You're trying to put a category 1 rototiller on a category 2 tractor. One has 27 hp. and the other has 71 hp.

I wouldn't do it. But I am interested in your progress. Maybe a 3point quick-hitch would solve the linkage problem.
