My 955 bogged down while my wife was mowing and wouldnt restart. I changed fuel out, compression is good. I pulled the injectors out since i found radiator leaking thinking head gasket. Blows black smoke out tail pipe while cranking. Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi, and welcome to TBN. Black smoke frequently indicates too much fuel for too little air. Check your air cleaner then the air path through the intake. Sometimes it really is that simple.

I've got the air intake off, i changed the fuel out, I even took the inje3ctors out and hooked them back up the the fuel lines and cranked it over. Injectors all had good spray patterns. I took it to an ag shop and they said the head gasket was bad, I doubted that because I had already pulled the injectors and put air in the cyl's and it didn't come out anywhere it shouldn't have. Since i had nowhere to go I pulled the head off (which was simple)to find out nothing was wrong with the gasket, head or block. I also pulled the plate off the front of the motor and checked the injection pump marks- ok. I have no idea where to check next cam/crank marks? It just seems so damn funny thatthis thing has ran like a clock since it was new and I'm **** about servicing it and now this happens. 1034 hrs at this point so i don't understand whats happened. This thiong should have ran alot longer than this without problems like this. Anybody have any ideas?
