Not altogether true, my friend. MSRP pricing is useless only for those who believe that this is indeed the price they would normally pay. But, this isn't the case. Website pricing provides a newbie shopper with some sense of MSRP on tractors and attachments. With this information, the newbie can then go comparison shopping at their favorite dealers to look for the 'best buy'. As I've previously suggested, if one can talk a dealer down at least 15% off MSRP on a tractor configuration....then this is a fair deal. If 20% or more.....then this is a very good deal. Website pricing provides the manufacturer's standard benchmark that buyers can then negotiate 'down' from. This is not much different from sticker prices auto buyers are faced with when they initially negotiate a deal on a new car or truck.
