Jeep Cherokee. Ford Fusion?

Every Jeep owner I have seen have complained about poor gas mileage. I owned a Cherokee Laredo once with V8 and got about 14 MPG. Most say that 16 MPG is about the best you can get with one regardless of model or engine. I don't know anyone who has a 2016 or newer though so they may have fixed the excessive gas consumption.

Not sure about the fuel consumption, but I did see that they have a new recall on leaking fuel lines.httphttps://www.thecarconnection.com/news/1116858_2018-jeep-cherokee-recalled-over-leaky-fuel-line

lets make sure we are comparing apples to apples. The original poster was talking about the new version of the Cherokee that came out in 2014..... any of you folks talkign about Laredos and Grand Cherokees with V8s are off base. The largest engine in the "Cherokee " ( not Grand) is a V6 and it gets between 25 and 30 mpg easily and any first model problems from 2014 in trannie have been fixed. IT now is a quite good model. My wife has a 2016 ...my adult daughter just bought a 2015 with the 4 cyl ...she loves it too.
