Yes it was a Wheel Horse 10hp riding mower. The mower was junk and I bought it for $85.00 . I puttered on the motor one afternoon and got it running great. I put big tires on it and eventually made the grader, ha,ha. Today I trimmed a bunch of sheet metal from the inside of the Wheel Horse Go- Cart. I fabricated all new frame work to support the two high back seats. Going to be a tight fit and I already trimmed a inch off the sides of the first seat. I also built the mounting brackets for the bottom of the seats. IMG_9474.JPGIMG_9475.JPGIMG_9476.JPG

I got the new seat frame work welded in place and got the seats mounted for the first time. It's a tight fit but I like them. I decided this week to work on the Mini Loader bucket. I am adding 16" to the bottom of the bucket and several inches to the sides. We get a lot of light fluffy lake effect snow and it would be nice to be able to move more of it each pass. I saw this cool bucket on line today , Sweet. IMG_9491.JPGj.jpg

Taking a break from the Mini Jeep project to work on the mini loader bucket extensions. I'm trying to keep it light as possible. I don't actually plow with it , mostly move the snow piles from the front to the back yard when the snowbanks get too high. I am very limited where to stack the snow in front. We get 160+ of snow every winter so the banks get high and it is dangerous pulling out on the main road. The bucket looks rough yeat but will look much better when finished.IMG_9494.JPG

Is this just going to be a removable extension for the bucket or are you welding it on?

The new extension will be welded on. I have forks for it for summer use. This bucket is 100% snow use and mostly lake effect snow that is light and fluffy. I have used the smaller bucket for 7 years and it is going to be great to have this larger bucket. I will be curious if I will be able to carry a full bucket of heavy wet snow without lifting the rear of the machine .
If not it will still be nicer filling the bucket with the larger bottom floor even half or 3/4 full .

Thought you should know that when you click on your YouTube videos link it does not work. It simply says that the channel does not exist.

Snowing the last two days so back in the workshop. I cut out more of the center tunnel today and now I have plenty of leg room . But the drive belt shield will stay leaving a little less leg room on the passengers side. I finished the bucket extension project and I am excited to try it out.IMG_9521.JPG

This progress photo today shows the brake and clutch pedals now moved in the new spots. Also new sheet metal for more leg room. I added 3 fake shifting levers just for looks. The two real shift levers are between the seats. I ordered a 17" steering wheel to help with the manual steering . Next I will work on the passenger side adding new sheet metal.IMG_9531.JPG
