Im kinda suprised that no one is more interested in this or can figure out how they fixed it.

what gives?

also can someone with a Grand L post a video of the 3PT going up slowly

i want to see how my fixed standard valve compares to the Grand L

There is about 100 threads about people bitching about it and it gets fixed, to me it seems there is light at the end of the tunnel and nobody cares????

Don't take this the wrong way... it's been talked about so, so much... since 2005. I personally don't think the dealer is telling the truth about the valve.

Where are you from? I would like to see someone else go to this dealer and have them properly adjust "an L3800 valve" to work like this. I don't think that is the case. If it only needed to be adjust properly... why did they have to get a new valve (~$400+/-). We have not seen any other 3ph this smooth.

Most have talked to their dealers and there is no use... you had them over a barrel. Did you finally sign the contract?

I have been to my dealer with your video and have been told they can only adjust according to the specifications provided by Kubota. Since only your dealer has been able to get it working and we don't have any data from him, we are stuck until you can feed us the vital info on what the specification is, the part number, etc....

We would love to pile on, but have nothing to work with yet. We don't even know your dealer to call them directly to ask what he did. We are kinda depending on you to pull this out for us. :(

I did sign papers and its mine

And I'm super stoked to have a silky smooth standard three point hitch

Does the grand l valve go right in the standard or is there some fab required

I'm all ears but like has been said, there's nothing to go on.

More questions than answers here. It looks like most assuming the L3800 is essentially the same machine as the L3700, L3400 and L2800 but no one seems to know if this fix is cross compatible. No one knows what this fix is, what part was changed, why it was changed and how or even why it was adjusted. No one even knows if this fix can repeated or if the dealer involved is a tractor faith healer?

But then Messick says he's yet to see a hitch that doesn't perform smooth. What's that about? Where are all the people on TBN that have smoooooth hitches?
Its a "problem" that we're basicly unable to duplicate. We sold 28 standard L's last year and I can't name on person who has complained about this.

But if they are not coming out of the factory smooth, and there is a smooth fix, then why are they not coming from the factory smooth?

Too much confusion, not enough facts. Still something missing from or wrong with this story.

Not 100% sure... I thought it was an easy swap out... at some time (?) kubota said that swap was no longer an option since bolts or nuts were changed - horse hockey!!! I'm pretty sure it the same darn thing.

Why they don't change??? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

people are still buying them...

I'm pretty sure the upgraded valve a few years back was the only compatible Grand L valve, if the L3010 is a Grand L. It's part# 31351-39604, the one I believe Teg has, the one I upgraded to. In my research, as I recall, no other Grand L valves appeared even close in configuration.

I'd be interested in seeing what is in jokergerms L3800 though. Did they change the configuration of the L3800 to accept a Grand L valve? Really, this seems unusual, unlikely, lucky for jokergerm even. If anyone else out there has similar performance from their L-Series 3pt, now is the time to share!

Did the dealer involved screw up? Is the cat out of the bag on this one? Or have we all been missing what Messick has been trying to tell us all this time?

I really don't recall, anyone else ever describing their L-Series 3pt as "smooth."

Well my tractor is going to the dealer sometime this week and I will ask them again what they did .. ill ask the tech guy directly how they fixed it

Sure is interesting.though that I'm the only one in the world with a smooth L hitch
