Jimna 254 PTO clutch stuck

Common problem when delers don't adjust the clutchs prior to
delivery. I assume this is a new tractor?? Both clutches should be adjusted. The pto is the forward one, closest to the engine. You'll need to remove the inspection plate on either side of the bell housing. If equiped with a loader you'll need to move the loader forward off the centre pylon and remove the pylon. The manual has a procedure for adjusting the clutch I believe.. you have the wrenchs needed in the factory toolkit.

Ray, is this the same 100+ hour tractor with the slow turnover problem back in May?
The humidity is high enough in Hawaii where - if the PTO isn't used in a long time - that it's clutch can stick to the flywheel. But quite a few 200 series Jinmas owners have also reported losing a clutch finger.
I'd take off the inspection plates and slowly rotate the clutchpack (use compression release). Make sure that all three fingers are tensioned to a position within about 2mm of the throwout bearing. If they're ok, the PTO clutch plate might be stuck.
If they're not, you've got to determine why all three fingers aren't the same. Sometimes it's a broken pivot bolt, other times it's just a matter of tightening the finger back up.

good point on the humidty. I've had main clutches stick on
200 series tractors that have sat outside in hot and humid conditions for several months.
