Here is some work that we were doing around the front of the house. The PT was mainly used to dig out a dead crabapple tree and spread mulch.

I like it! Looks great.

But I was wondering...do we PT'ers give the impression that we are having way too much fun ;~)

I don't miss my truck since I got an SUV and a 10'x6' trailer....Mulching for me has never been easier. See the photo. I pull the trailer to where I need it with the PT. Then I shovel directly from the trailer and use the PT bucket to carry my tools and stuff. The PT has it's limit on hills and heavy loads when I pull this trailer.

Great picture nice setup, the PT looks good pulling it.;)

Well, I finally got back to my 2006-2007 project. I started working on the block wall for my RV parking area next to the pole barn.

THe PT was used for spreading stone, digging out the hill, moving block on a pallet, and dumping dirt and gravel behind the wal, (for each layer of block).

First pic is the PT and pallet I used to move the stone block. At between 20-80lbs per block, it does nto take much to exceed the lifting capacity of the PT. You can tell when you have too much on the pallet when you try to lift the block and your back side goes up instead!

After a couple of layers of block, I used the 4 in 1 bucket to dump the gravel for drainage behind the wall. Then I followed with the dirt behind the gravel. I will end up with 24" of stone behind the wall most of the way to the top. I laid in a 4" drainage pipe at the base of the wall to relieve the water runoff.

I LOVE the 4 in 1 bucket for this kind of stuff!

Here's a shot of what I have done so far.

Also, if you are interested in my "other" project, you can visit Jim's Lightning Check the multimedia section to see some video of what I am building.

Now you know why I have been so scarce over the past year.

I'm still loving my PT though...

Jim, I am soooo jealous of that plane... And the wall, but the plane really makes me drool...

Hope to see photos of it in action as well...

Thanks guys. I just put another 3 hours this morning in on the PT backfilling dirt and stone behind the wall. I'm going away on vacation this week and would like to have the back fill level with the top of the wall and compacted before I go. Then I can continue with the remaining rows when i get back.

Here's a dandy little compactor that I picked up at Harbor Freight. With a in-store special, and the fact that it was a return, it ended up costing me $269.00. With all the landscaping wall work I am going to be doing, I couldn't resist.

Harbor Freight Plate Compactor

Works like my vibrating football game I had when I was a kid...

On the airplane, yes, I will be documenting the complete build process as well as a series of videos documenting testing and flight. I actually well ahead of what the web site shows, but I just started on that and will be catching up over the next month.

I should have it ready for testing by late November.

Hey, it has been a while since I was working on my wall project. Finishing my airplane, and landing myself in the hospital with Atrial Fibrillation. That kept me down for a while, but three months ago I finally got the go ahead from my doc for some more strenuous physical activity.

So, I decided to finish what I started. First, a little support from my grandchildren...

Building it up slowly. 150 feet of stone wall; gravel, back fill, top soil, and conduit.

And the final wall, with grading, grass seed. All I need to do is wire the lights.

I have had Afib for three years. I have a pace maker and medications. It works well for me. I met a woman whose father was on his third pace maker at 105 years old.
