Yep. Im pretty terrified of that happening, am always double checking that the tractors not in gear. Got a new ignition switch, wireharness is on the way. Thanks for the advice!

If I am not in the seat then the main shifter, shuttle shifter, and range selector are all in neutral. Triple safe makes me feel better.

Whatever works for you. There is a happy ending to my story though. After nearly running myself over I went into the house as white as a ghost. I told my wife my story and she said "Why don't you get rid of that thing and get something decent"? I am now the proud owner of a brand new 25XT with Koyker loader. The joke's on her....... I still have the old NT.

Ok, getting back on track. Just went and picked up the used hood, steering wheel, gauges and wire harness from the freight delivery dock, opened the wire harness and basically just started laughing at myself!!!:laughing:
There's a whole lot of wires on that thing, it looks way more involved then I thought, and of course none of the wiring diagrams Ive found online are color coded!!! I've done a whole bunch of basic automotive wiring and am confident I will figure this out, but if anyone has any free time and a digital camera, or knows of a resource for decoding this thing, I could use any help I can find!
Also, Im going to need to fabricate some brackets for holding the hood on, not sure what happened to the old ones, but the previous owner scrapped together a quick frame to hold what seems to be a lawn mower hood on the tractor!
