Jinma 284 injection pump timing

Replace air filter and thermostat and checked all the fuel filters. Still starts and hits a couple times but does not run, we quit after running the battery down. Got word today from the dealer that the new fuel injector was bad. Will get another new one tomorrow. Do not plan to work on the old one anymore. We don't think the head gasket is blown. I hope not. Rented a tractor over the weekend to spray the peach field. All my stuff, spray rig, disc, bush hog, Had to make some adjustments to get the spray rig to fit, finally got it done. Hope to have mine running again by Friday. Pat

another possibility, I have seen the inside layer of fuel hose collapse, cutting off fuel supply. looked fine outside. the mose likely is the line from teh sed. bowl to the lift (hand) pump. that would not explain why it wouldnr run with the new pump. We did have a new pump once that thad the check valve installed on the wrong end of the pressure head.

Chip, we replaced the hose when we put the new pump on. We saw it was bad then. Got a new pump on the way. Got a tractor guy coming to work on it when it gets here. If it won't run then I guess I will paint it green. Pat

Had a diesel tractor repair man put the new pump on. He got it on, timed it and it fired right up. I ran it with the bush hog today for 45 minutes with no problems. It does not smoke at all now. Picks up well and has good power. I think the problem is solved. Guess I won't have to paint it green. My brother who only runs John Deere for 68 years now thinks all tractors should have green paint on them. Thanks for all the help. Pat
