Hi all,

I'm seriously considering a Jinma 284 with shuttle shift for mowing, FEL work, and general project work on my 5.5 acres.

I'm a bit confused about how the Jimna shuttle shift works, so can someone with experience with one walk me through the sequence of operations in a typical fwd-rev situation? Eg, I'm approaching a pile of dirt that needs to be relocated - what do I do next?.

I saw one web site that hinted that the shuttle was a synchro shuttle - can anyone confirm or deny that?

Cheers, Foggy

I haVE THE 284 shuttle shift. With the lever up, you go forward, down you go in reverse. The speed is the same forward or backward. You have to stop to shift from forward to reverse. Very handy for moving dirt, I really like mine.

1. Going forward into the pile, complete your scrape, rollback
scoop and lift.
2. Depress clutch and stop tractor.
3. Shift to reverse.
4. let out clutch and back out of pile/turn around.
5. Depress clutch and stop tractor.
6. Shift to forward and drive to dump location to empty loader
bucket.
7. Repeat as necessary:)
