After finding out all the things to do and not to do for a Jinma 284 splitting and clutch replacement, attached is a full procedure that I wrote which should save anyone else going through this a lot of grief and agony, and answer a lot of questions. It's a step-by-step procedure, with pictures. It may not be absolutely precise for every tractor, but it will get you close and give some things to look for and watch out for. I used to write procedures for large industrial plants to meet FDA guidelines, so hopefully it will be fairly complete for the average home mechanic to get through the process. Jim
