I have a Jinma 354 with the 4 cylinder motor, FEL and power steering 9both off the same pump). My Son was using it an allowed the Hydraulic fluid to get too low and the power steering quit. The FEL was very jumpy. We re filled the reservoir beneath the seat and the FEL works flawlessly now but the power steering still has not recovered. Is it a problem with the proportioning valve? Should I hand prime all of the components individually (ie remove hoses and fill with oil etc.) At a loss here and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the steering work with the engine off? These tractors have 100% hydraulic steering. The steering is below the hydraulic reservoir so you shouldn't have an issue with bleeding but you can try spinning the wheel a few times in each direction to work the air out.
I had an issue with power steering on my 354 turns out my 2012 has a second power steering fluid tank in the front of the tractor by the rad. filled that up with hydraulic oil and it worked just fine again. I am no tractor expert at all but it fixed mine

Did you know there are different viscosities of hydraulic oil, and there are different viscosities of gear oil? Did you know there are different additive packages, base stocks, and formularies for hydraulic and gear oils? I sincerely doubt that a lubrication engineer would say it's okay to mix hydraulic and gear oil. I also seriously doubt there are any lubrication engineers on this site (although I have seen a few that profess the knowledge).
