- "50 Austin-Western Super 88-H, '52 Ford 8n, '80 Kubota L285, '85 Komatsu D21-P5, '88 Wacker WHK 90, '90 Komatsu WA30-2, '95 Komatsu PC50-2, '07 Jinma 354
I have 8 tractors here .. 1950 Austin Western Super 88-H the oldest .. the Jinma was my first New one .. 2007. It IS .. a freaking Mule .. can pull a 6' box-blade up 15% grade .. spilling over.
About six months ago .. I was just doing some really anemic grading here on Cahto Peak Road ... and she just ... stopped ... and died.
Now ... as much as I enjoy .. the Red Green episodes from CBC on PBS .. I Do endeavor to .. RTFM ... but ... what can I say. For you non-Army vets .. it means ... Read the Fine Manual .. hehehe.
There are TWO other little bitty filters .. that totally escaped my attention, untill my 354 stopped .. dead in the road. One, is attached to the line threaded into the fuel tank itself, .. and the other ... is actually, in the fuel supply valve body.
Now ... as I said above ... I do have 8 tractors here .. only the '52 8N runs on gas. My 3 Komatsu's (D21-p5, PC50UU-2, Wa30-2).. the Austin-Western grader.. the Kubota L-285 ... the Whacker roller .. have a very simple filter design regimen. One filter ... call it good.
Not soo ... with the 354. There is a screen filter, located up within the tank feed fitting, and another, located within the fuel "turn-off" valve, itself. Well ... gotta say .. I was feeling pretty embarrased ... being a tool-time kinda guy and all that. Being the East gate authority out my way, having the Jinma dead in the water, certainly peaked my interest, in ... fault analysis.
Soo ... if your Jinma dies .. for apparently No reason .. pull those two little bitty screen filters .. that somehow, I missed reading about, in the Fine Manual. Apparently .. their current penchant for "filtering" ... has really escalated since I was there in 1986. I watched the Nobel peace award live from BBC at 4am my time this am .. watch out for those filters .. brothers and sisters. Namaste`
