Hey has anyone delt with a company out of Va. called Emery built.
I have spoken to some of you regarding the fact that I am looking to purchase a tractor. Like some of you I due to financial reasons /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif am looking at the Jinma lines.
Emery built apperntly buys them and changes some components to make them more reliable.? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I was quoted a prety good price on a 35 and 45 hp 4x4 tractor with FEL and backhoe.
If anyone has had dealings with them I would appreciate hearing from you
Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I havn't hear dmuch about emery built, so am doing a search on them.

There are many fit/finish issues that are taken care of by the importing dealer. that is also whay a Nortrac jinma looks and costs better/ more than a homier farm pro jinma...

Just a qick look at their website shows that they are selling the jinma at about the same price as northern hydraulics.. you may want to visit their site,as I -think- they are doing free shipping right now.. making them very competive in prices..

As for the le package.. looks like quite a few bucks for no 'real' improvement.. 'rounded fneder.. different hood / light scheme.. and seat.. different instrument cluster.'
Don't get me wrong.. I'm not knocking the dealer.. but If I'm buying an economy tractor, I don't want to add on a bells and whistles package that is going to offset the economy quite a bit.. without adding any 'meat and potatoes' to the tractor.. ( hp usability or implements'. A 'sleeker hood, different light scheme, and rounded fenders' are just 'perfume' in my book.
As for the gauges? Are they better gauges? I think I would rather have stock gauges.. and just replace them when they fail... just my opinion. Besides.. I find nothing 'unatracive' about the basic jinma look, and I'm ok knowing that it is essentially the cheapest entry level tractor you can get...

That's why homier tool sales can sell a 20hp 2wd 'base' model for +/- 3400 bucks.. etc.

Northern has up to the 40hp jinmas.. and at 12K.. I find that not too bad a deal.. 20 hp units are 6k.. especiall free shipping... here's a link:

Nortrac Tractors

You cant find a good used diesel for that price... in fact.. that price range drops you into antique gas power... ( I like antique gas power.. not knocking them either )

Just my honest observations

EmeryBuilt has been around awhile and may have as many years experience, as Northern, but probably not the same volume (guessing). I know of a number of people who have purchased from them. If they are close to you, worth checking out. And as SoundGuy has pointed out, Northern is very good choice.

Even though I have no one-on-one experiences to share, I've heard that EmeryBilt has a good reputation for attention to detail and for service after sale.

Just to point out like the other guys said.. I'm not knocking the dealer. It is very well possible that his prices are where they are BECAUSE he takes the time to dress them out nicely, and fix the minor issues they come over with.

Sounds like you won't loose either way.

Also.. have you looked at eicher tractors.. I saw a few adds in heavy equipment trader.. and there were some dealers selling eichers at less than jinma prices... actually shocked me.. I didn't think you could sell a tractor cheaper that a jinma.. heck.. you can buy a large craftsman lawn mower and pay MORE than a base model jinma...

Anyway.. good luck.
