I had some time to kill today so I stopped by the local NH dealer and asked him what brand of chipper he sells. He said Woods but then said I think I have another product you might be interested in. He took me to the back lot where he has 5 new Jinma chippers in the crates fresh off the boat. He carries them and said Brim will stand behind them and he can get parts very quickly. He said that the feed shaft has been the only issue on the ones they've sold and they had the new parts in a day. His price is $1900. A few hundred higher than some others but it seemed very reassuring to buy from a regular tractor that would back me up parts wise. Plus he's right on my way to work. What do you think?

With shipping going to be close to $1800.00 from Arizona. They list these on their website for $1499.00 for 6" and I see they have an 8" now for $1799.00. After reading, the only difference I see between the two must be the intake size as they both have same 24" flywheel, 175 lb, with 10" cutting knives. Both machines weight in at 800lbs. So the extra $300.00 is so you can chop 8" dia. sticks instead of 6". Everything else is built the same from what I can tell.
I'd say your dealer is reasonable on the price if he will load it up in your truck for you. I have to borrow a forklift from down the street as mine is being shipped to my business. Only way I can get into my pickup. when the truck shows up.
