Due to many request and from our own personal in house experiences with the factory fuel sediment bowls and the rubber fuel line between the bowl and injection pump leaking / weeping fuel, causing fuel restrictions and more .

We now have Serviceable Fuel Bowl Up-grade Kit.

I was Ronald's first customer on the Fuel Bowl Upgrade Kit and have to say its top notch just like all Ranch Hands aftermarket upgrade kits.

I documented the entire process because I knew I was the first one to put it on and wanted to give a honest opinion of the kit and also add pictures of each and every step.

As you can see in picture 1,2,&3 the kit is very complete. It comes with all parts needed including, fuel bowl, tank adapter, fuel hose, hose clamps, new sealing washers for the banjo fitting at the injector pump, ect. You get 2 pages of detailed instructions with pictures that are clear and easy to follow. Ronald even went to the effort to make it as for a lack of a better term Idiot Proof as possible. He gives hints that the fuel tank may need to be loosened, to lubricate the fuel line prior to pushing it over the barbed fitting (makes it easier), ect.

In all it took about 1 hour to install. That includes removing the fuel from the tank. I had about 2/3 of a tank. I drained it via the fuel hose by removing it from the injector pump and draining into a clean bucket so I could capture it for use.

I will let the pictures I took do the rest of the story. Any questions just ask.

I should add the first 3 pics are of the kit, the middle 4 are of the old stuff I took off, and the last 3 are of the finished product.

Chris

Excellent dealer incentive. Reminds me of when DelJen first offered the gear reduction starter upgrade to the problematic QD100C3. But correct me if I'm wrong - this upgrade kit is intended to replace the OE plastic sediment bowl (the one with the tendency to collapse) - right? Cuz I don't otherwise see this kit as any kind of upgrade to those of us with tractors equipped with OE glass bowls.......

It appears that the upgrade kit eliminates the in-tank suction screen by introducing an all new complete sediment bowl assembly, replete with Teflon tape, which was a true bone of contention for many tractor owners. I didn't have that issue personally, but did change out the plastic sediment bowl with a glass one from NAPA (I'm sure any auto parts store could have done the crossover as well because it was actually a Tillotson part).

Nice job Ronald, this will be a real convenience for a lot of folks.

You missed the in-tank suction screen, it's in the 1st photo - second piece from the right. At least that's what it looks like to me on this small screen.

And I missed the Teflon tape. So I must rescind some of my initial kudos, cuz wrapping those threads with Teflon is a giant step sideways.

OK, a closer look reveals a screen. I thought it was like a 1/4" NPT step thread with the tape on the larger thread. Mike Sorrentino won't like that.

So does this sediment bowl have the round screen inside the bowl too?

Teflon tape: A lateral move towards convenience and customer appreciation. :cool2:

Just to clear things up here a bit. The kit comes with a whole new sediment bowl and fuel line to the pump. My fuel line to the pump from the bowl was not flowing well. Maybe due to me running B20 back about 3 years ago. I bought 300 gallons of B20 and ran it in my tractor and my diesel trucks.

The oem fuel bowls on the 200 and 300 series Jinma tractors is made of plastic. It clouds up and you can not see though it. They are prone to leak and the shut off valve is also a sore point that can leak itself.

Ronald's kit eliminates all these issues. Its a glass bowl with a good shut off valve. Yes Bob Rooks, it has a round screen in the top of the new sediment bowl. The oem sediment bowl had a screen that was in the tank that has caused many owners headaches. This new setup eliminates that.

There is no problem at all with Teflon tape on thread joints - provided that you use it correctly. Do it wrong and you have problems, but then you'd have problems if you did things wrong with any other thread sealant.

I agree. I have done dozens of fitting on marine applications and fuel storage tanks, pumps, hoses, ect with Teflon Tape and never had a issue.

Many don't know there is a right direction and a wrong direction,,when winding teflon tape on threads.
