Jinma Key Switch replacement From NAPA?

I did the relay trick to my glow plugs on my Jinma 284 and it was a $15 fix to make it start easier. I am confident it helps.

Just an update. Appreciate all the info as info is knowledge which we most often can not have to much of. I do have a good knowledge of electricity. Checked my voltage at the plugs, was only 8.9. Started tracing wiring which was not all that heavy. Found a corroded plug in type connector, removed same and spliced existing wire. Cleaned copper bar and all connections at plugs. Rechecked voltage, now almost 11. Some improvement in starting. Disconnected the old wiring entirely, ran all new wire from battery, thru new 30 amp fuse/holder which I had laying around then thru new single pole (50amp) switch, eliminating the regular switch assembly entirely. WOW! Talk about a fast start. Realize this configuration may not be the safest but for the moment it's great.

If that's temporary, fine. You can still purchase and install the appropriate cold-start switch, and add a proper glow plug relay. Much safer. But if you're gonna make that a permanent mod, you can then get buy with a regular 3 position switch like on gasoline engines (no spring-loaded pre-heat position).
