Torn up since last night...this community will certainly be the poorer without him. So sorry for Kathy and family....no words.....He will be missed.

Since I do not own a NH I did not see a lot of Jim's postings that so many of you mention.
I did find and read this thread about his lift right after it was created and I was thoroughly impressed how he generated so much loyalty from friends.
He must have been a true gentleman, may he rest in peace.
I am sure his family and friends will miss him.

Jim's post added so much to this forum. His knowledge and the way he expressed himself was always interesting and a pleasure to read. Even when he was diagnosed with breast cancer he used the opportunity to educate us and we joined him on his ongoing battle. Whenever anyone needed encouragement or was going through a rough time in their lives he always knew exactly the right words to say. There will be a big hole in the Texas threads. Kathy our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go though this sad time. In Jim's post we could tell of his admiration for you and how he considered himself lucky to have you as his wife. Jim, we miss you and will always remember you.

Mikim called just as I shut off the welder a little bit ago. I'm working on a project, it's what I do.

I'm adding this photo to the thread because i really like the expressions on Mike and Jim's faces. I'm grinning like a fool so you can ignore that. What I hope you see is not only what is there, the TBN project stone from ten years ago later this month, Mike and Jim's expressions, but what isn't there, Bird and Don and all the rest of the gang from way back, now and then, and again.

It gives me comfort having the memories of the lift project, we had some special moments that will last at least this life's lifetime.

Jim was first and foremost a natural teacher. Heck, he was better than that, he was a very gifted natural teacher. He will be missed.

I just learned of this myself and hate to hear this news. I never met Jim but it feels like I lost a close friend. I remember reading his posts back when I joined years ago. He will be sorely missed that's for sure. Rip dear friend.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I just got off the phone with Jim's (Jinman) wife and Jim passed away about 4 p.m. this evening. She gave me permission to post the information here, and she stressed again how much they had enjoyed that lift, several times a day, during Jim's last weeks, and how much she appreciated everyone's help. No arrangements have yet been made, but I'll let people know when I hear.

That's sad to hear.

I think it's wonderful the way people on here pitched in to help him get his lift installed. Show's what wonderful people you are. :)

RIP Jim. Even though I never met you in person you'll certainly be missed.

Chad
