I bought a new 2006 kioti 45s. I have had this tractor 5 and a half years. The first problem I had it wouldnt stay in gear, had to hold the hand lever to keep it in gear. That was fixed under warrenty. So yesterday I was useing it and it started to run away. No control over the rpm,s. Turned switch off and pulled fuel lever to turtle and it continued to run away. After about maybe 30 seconds it died on its on.And would not restart. I called my dealer and he said I better bring it in to dealership. I got a phone call today informing me that something in the fuel rack had broken. Would take a new pump which is a $1000 plus labor. I have checked on line and other places and found this is a common thing with the 45s. Why didnt kioti do a recall. I have 600 hrs on this tractor. But my dealer said I got to bite the bullet. That 5 yrs was about the life of the pump:

Welcome to TBN, and I am sincerely sorry you are so unhappy with your tractor. Having to pay that much for a major repair on a tractor that has run only 600 hours is just pure b-------.

If it is a common problem, it speaks poorly of the company that built the tractor when they will not be responsible. Wish I could do more than offer my consolation.
