I am trying to cross reference a pump on my wood splitter. The pump was made by John C Barnes and has 2 numbers I assume 1 is the serial number the other the pump model. I would really like to find out the gpm of the pump.

The 2 numbers are as follows 1002926 and 8393.

Thank You for Helping!

Welcome to TBN:D
Take a look at THIS thread, not a lot of info but it does appear that John S Barnes is no more.

Ar you trying to fix your pump or replace it? Giving us more info like the HP of engine and the size of the cylinder could help us direct you to a suitable pump.

Actually I am looking to replace the engine a 5 hp B&S and was just checking to see if there was a cross reference between the Barnes Pumps and the Halex Pumps. If the pump is 11 gpm I am going to stay with a 5 HP Honda GC or GX Engine. If the pump is a 13 or 16 gpm, I will upgrade the engine accordingly. I have always had issues with the B&S and I have a shop full of Honda's with none, so after 15 years, I am going to give the B&S to someone else that enjoys messing around with the engine and not working...Greg
