Well all, I think I may be looking to make a move... finally.

You all probably know from all my bugging around on here that I'm looking for one, and if not now you do;)

The one I am looking at is in the link below:
2005 DEERE 110 Machines - Loader Backhoes For Sale At MachineryTrader.com

It has everything I wanted - and I do mean everything, box blade, TnT, thumb, grapple (notice a couple of bent tines though). I think it's fair at the current price, but would really love for them to take mine on trade so I don't have to deal with a sale. I would need a fairly distant price, given the distance, not sure how possible that is. One can hope though, right!

So any advice on what to ask about or things that your expert eyes see will greatly be appreciated. I will be trying to make contact tomorrow so we will see what happens!

Did you use the shipping calculator to check for average shipping cost?
When I bought the 6415 it came from TN. It cost me just over a $1000 to have it brought to SouthWest MI.
I doubt you will be able to make a long distance trade. They would have the expense of getting your machine to them. Not sure how they would put a value on it thru email/pictures only.

I tell you what. Buy it and I'll go pick it up and then I'll bring it to you...after awhile. :D

Did you get a trailer yet? I would check it out and bring it home after a little dickering.

Yea, not really holding my breath on the trade, but do have my fingers crossed. Really wouldn't expect them to say yes, but if they want something done sooner rather than later, I would expect them to consider.

Do not have a trailer yet either, I want to get the package together, set it up similar to what I'd do on the trailer and measure, so I don't get to big/small. I'd really love to take it out and bring it home myself, but I'm not sure how I'd be able to just get off and take a couple days off to get out there and back.

I guess I may be putting mine up either way if they aren't willing to take it for a decent price.

I will be calling later tonight so I'll post again with the details. All advise is appreciated.

Well, just wanted to update.

My ma is going out of town (Korea/China for work) for the next week so we went out for dinner last night so I was unable to call last night and when I called this morning I found out they were closed. So I was unable to speak to anyone but I'll be making time on monday to call for sure.

Good luck, Martian. Hope things all come together for you!

I'm assuming the tractor is at a dealer.. correct? Could he run a machine history for you based upon the serial number? Just curious about the low hours for an '05 machine - could have a replacement hour meter and instrument cluster..

Well, just got off the phone.

He is selling it for a private seller. Guy was a contractor, and pretty much like everywhere market went down and now he just wants to sell it for some cash. Did say no trades - glad I wasn't holding my breath:laughing:

Said everything was in working condition - everything comes with it - box blade, top n tilt, grapple, forks.

There was a guy who had an offer on it at $27k but he didn't show up so its still there. I told him my best offer - with shipping it would be about $500 - $1000 less than what was previously offered. So the dealer is calling the guy, don't know when I'll here back, but I'm hoping I can get something done!

Fingers crossed for you. It sounds like a pretty good deal.

Thanks, it is probably the best deal I've come across and has everything I wanted or was going to buy after the fact, so I'm really hoping he calls back and says that the guy will do it.

:laughing: Yea, I've hardly looked/talked about any;) And I feel this one has its place, hopefully.

And to answer your earlier question he did state that it was bought from them and then he just couldn't keep it busy because of the downed housing market. 624 hours I believe?

Yeah, that's a really low-hour machine. The backhoe looked like new... That's the light-duty grapple - but, easy to repair and bulk up, too!

Patience has definitely been worthwhile.. ya done good - (hopefully).

Yeah, the grapple definitely is a disappointment from most, but I figure that it will have to do and if it doesn't it'll either reinforce it or get something that will be heavy duty enough. It doesn't even protect the cylinder so that will definitely have to be taken care of - if I can pull it off :D

:laughing::laughing: Wouldn't that be great.

To the seller: Your machine is just terrible, should probably pay someone to take it;)
