Neither I nor my local John Deere service department have been able to find a solution -- hopefully someone on the Forum may have a possible cause/solution.

I have a John Deere 1530 diesel tractor that began pushing coolant out the radiator overflow, just shortly after starting and while the system is still cool. It develops about 13-14 pounds of pressure (instead of the normal 8 pounds). The radiator cap has been replaced, without a cure. We pulled the head and had it tested, replaced with a new gasket, etc. and still the problem persists. We even rebuilt the water pump as there had been a little play, but still the problem continues. We have also replaced the thermostat. The deadlership has checked through all the old service alerts but have not found anything that might shed some light on the issue. If anyone has experienced a similar problem and found a solution - or if you have additional ideas - I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I'll guess pin hole in piston liner from cavitation. Test coolant PH.
