You're welcome. I wish you luck on your tractor repair.

Due to the fact that the contents of the parts under the plugs don't appear to be adjustable relief valves or Closed-center plug my guess is spool to housing clearance is too great & spools & valve housing will require replacing to stop oil from exiting open control valve return hose.

What is your opinion Zebrafive???""

I agree. Only other idea is a spool(s) is/are not centered

I did the test this morning on the ported filter. Removed hose and let the canister empty. Pulled the coil wire and cranked the engine for 15 seconds, measured the output, 1 pint on the nose. From what I've read the transmission pump is not feeding the volume nor psi required. Now it's getting expensive.

Way too low of an output from the transmission pump.
First do you have any options that are powered by the transmission pump? Independent PTO, Hi-Lo, or reverser transmission? A broken internal line for one of these can bleed off transmission pump flow.

The inlet line for the transmission pump could be plugged (remember your sump screen had a hole in it), broken, or fell off the pump?
Then there is also the output line. Plugged, broken, fell off?
Pump could be plugged, worn out?

Looks time to split it and see what you find.

Pump drive failed? (happened to my 2030)

Zebrafive- Independent PTO, Hi-Lo, or reverser transmission? The answer is no. Thanks for the input.

Ohio, Just wanted to add a couple of things. First, at cranking speed you won't see a gallon or gallon and a half flow from filter housing. Should be close to that at 1000 rpm running. Second, have you looked at the filter relief valve? That is behind the 1 1/4" plug just above the filter cup. Make sure the spool in there is not stuck open. On you loader valve, there is another large plug in the side of the valve body that has a oring inside that is known to blow out on occasion. It is the plug that converts the valve from open to closed center. If you are getting a lot of flow from return, I am suspecting that oring is blown. See #10 in diagram. Lastly, in TxJim's diagram of the main pump, I believe your debris is from a broken #52. There is also a similar part in top plug of hydraulic reservoir #9 in front of radiator and in oil line #20 that plugs in front of clutch housing that leads up front towards the hydraulic pump. 48 loader valve.PNG

Update- Work has kept me from getting much done. As suspected I discover the hydraulic pump became a cannibal and digested a lot of parts. I have a local shop that can reasonably rebuild and bench test. I'll keep you posted. This is also a good time to have the radiator flushed and rebuild the water pump. Have you checked parts; key 9 in the first drawing, and key 20, in the second drawing, of post #25?

Zebra, I sure did late yesterday. The oil reservoir check was ok. The FEL control had a blown O-Ring as you suspected. Thanks for the tip. FEL o ring.jpg
