Just got my new seals installed on my tractor.Load control shaft wasn't wore bad enough to require replacement nor was the inside bushings that hold the shaft. So I just pushed the load control shaft in enough to get to the seals on one side then pushed it the other way to install the other side.Be sure and check your shaft ends where the pin slides thru for burrs or nicks so it doesn't mess up your new seals when it slides thru them.I then added 3 thrust washer on each side to prevent load control shaft from sliding back and forth and wearing the new seals out.The thrust washer's come 5 to a package and cost 41 cents a piece, since I needed 3 on each side, I had to buy 2 packages but for that price I didn't care.I also bought the 2 metal bushings that ride inside the draft link arms, figured they were wore also and adding to the side to side slop.Since the repair,my draft links stay up and don't leak off and fall down.I have a Coleman 1-burner propane stove and I got a pan of water and heated it up so as to put the teflon seals in to soften them up so I could get them in the sealing groove after first putting the rubber o-rings in.The hot water didn't soften the teflon rings up too much but I did manage to get them in without tearing them up so they wouldn't seal. The part number for the o-rings is-A4730R,the teflon seals-T22098,thrust washer's-R66197 and the outside bushings-T22099.I think these same parts will fit the 2240 as well.Wasn't as bad of a repair as I first thought it to be.Just glad to put an end to the dripping hydraulic fluid and the pans trying to keep it off the barn floor. The picture is of the old o-rings and teflon seals, outside bushing's and the 4 leftover thrust washers.Too messy of a job to try and take pictures during the repair.
