No photos or videos, takes about 5 minutes.

1. Position tractor with 6' - 10' of space on one side on a level (preferably smooth) surface.

2. Park tractor with MMM fully raised.
3. Turn deck adjustment knob to "install".
4. Remove circle clip pins from roller wheels on deck, rotate roller wheels 90 degrees and reinstall clip pins. Roller wheels on deck should be perpendicular to front/rear wheels on tractor now so you can "roll" the deck out.
5. Lower MMM all the way.
6. Release U shapped quick clips on both sides of the deck.
7. Unhook PTO from tractor, rotate shaft 90 degrees and lay on top of mower deck.
8. Unhook front hangar bracket from tractor and MMM - set aside.
9. Roll the MMM out from under the tractor.

Done.

I would add that the mower is to roll out the left side of the tractor. This procedure is detailed in the mower manuals, or if you don't have one you should be able to find one on ebay if the dealer can't provide one. I have a "system" that works well;
Do 1 to 3 above. shut off the engine. start on the left side and turn the guide wheels sideway. then do the wheels on the right side. Lower the deck, you do not have to start the tractor for this. Watch your toes! Then starting on the right side of the tractor release the right hangar, then the front hangar, then the left hangar. Then you will have to start the tractor and raise the lift. Shut OFF the tractor and from the left side release the PTO shaft and lay it on the deck, then roll her out ! When reinstalling the deck as you roll it back under be CAREFUL NOT TO HIT THE OIL FILTER.

What about the original install of the 54C? I'm getting conflicting comments from dealers on the time and add-ons required to install the 54C on a 2305. I'd like to do the install myself if what I read here is all that there is to it.

The other question comes about Independent vs. Mechanical lift. I expect to have the mower on most of the summer and take it off for any big jobs that will require the 3 Point or FEL so I think independent lift is not necessary.

Wish I could find a 54C in stock around OK. Everyone says 10-14 days.

how do you know which is the right or left side of the tractor, and what is it that would make a difference on what side you roll the deck on,sorry if this is a stupid question.

The left and right is determined from the seated position...so the joystick is on the right side.

Thanks, kennyd I didn't see this in the manual and didn't know if you determined this from in the seated position on standing facing the tractor again thanks, castiman
