My 2305 has developed a loud noise when I am running the 62" MMM. If the mower is on level ground, it runs well. If the ground is unlevel and the gauge wheel kick in, there is a loud noise coming from the left side. It sounds like a slip clutch on a combine to me. I wonder if there is something wrong with the gear box on the mower deck. I only have 30 hours on the tractor and mower. Any suggestions are welcome. Help!

The best suggestion since you only have 30 hours is the call a dealer ASAP.
Have you checked the oil level in the gearbox?
Have you greased the driveshaft?
Have you greased the spindles?
Are you sure the driveshaft is fully engaged/locked onto the PTO stub shaft?

If the anti-scalp wheel lifts the mower high enough, the mower's drive shaft will
rub against the brake linkage pin on the inside of the frame. The wear is very visible on the linkage and it makes a heck of a racket.
If you mow with the deck very high, raise the anti-scalp wheels. I mow at 3 inches and I have 3 holes showing. Rarely get the noise.

Symptoms match the problem the brake linkage kit fixes. At 30 hours, you may be able to get the dealer to spring for it as it fixes a design flaw inherent in the original setup. It's about $80 for a few metal pieces.
It doesn't completely eliminate the problem, but it does greatly reduce it. Once the kit is installed the only way you'll get interference is if the deck gets pushed sideways (hit a stump, fencepost, etc.) Right now your deck is getting shifted sideways enough by gravity to cause the interference (thus my calling it a design flaw.)
