When I try to start my John Deere 3120 tractor it lunges forward like it is gear. If I put the transmission range gear in neutral it will start but then gears grind if I try to put the transmission in gear. The ehydro pedals seem to be stuck in forward;
Any ideas?

Check the pedal mechanism and linkage. Clean and lubricate. Perhaps try a penetrating lubricant. See if you can get the linkage to center again.

I am more familiar with the pre-electronic hydro systems, like my 4600HST has. Maybe there's something going on in the electronics, but your description makes it sound to me more like a mechanical issue.

I would start by putting the ICU into the diagnostic mode, and view the forward / reverse pedal positions using the display.

Did you get your problem solved? Those of us who answer someone's question like to hear some feedback about what the problem turned out to be.
After my earlier post, I wondered if it might be a stick caught in the linkage.

Happy tractoring, and welcome to TBN!
