My folks have a 335 and now a 345.
Not sure what snow blower they have but it is John Deere and came from the dealer with the 335 new in 2000, now on 345.
It has been a workhorse.
As far as I know original belt on it.
And it will blow heavy blown snow taller than the mower, just need to take a few bites, no belt smoking on this one.
Also 2’+ tall plow thrown packed ice/snow at the end of the driveway has been no problem.
And thanks for the heads up on the cam gear, I will check out the engine code next time I stop by.
The 345 has around 500 hours on it and the pto clutch has just started making noise this summer on engagement.
That is the reason the 335 got parked a few years ago and my folks got the 345 used, pto clutch went out and my dad couldn’t fix it.
It has been hard for a guy who used to build or fix everything, but surviving 2 heat/exertion heart attacks has slowed him down.
Although it toke the second heart attack and then another illness related hospital stay for it to finally sink in.
So on my list of projects is to replace the pto clutch on the 335 so they have a backup.
