If I had bought tractor new , it would be fixed . but I got it USED , so ............. I am just happy he lowerd the price . Most dealers wanted $50-$60 . I had 3 different dealers tell me " Service Notices ONLY help dealers fix the problem quick " Its a guide , of what might be the cure to fix it . 3 dealers said NO to JD fixing it on a 2008 model
I think what's going on here might be the 'you didn't buy it here' attitude. I think if your dealer gave you a discount than you should be happy. I'll bet if you bought the tractor new and this just showed up after all these years you find the dealer you bought it from having a different attitude.
I blew a shaft on a tractor that was out of warranty and my dealer made good on it with an improved shaft which means JD knew about it, just like your leak. The difference was that I bought the tractor new from him.
