john deere 4110
i have a john deere 4110 thats about 3 yrs old. its been working just fine until couple days ago it started to stall in high gear ( sometimes). if i switch it to low, it picks up a lil bit and carries on smoothly. but at times during an uphill it stalls in high gear and the engine totally shuts off. any ideas? could this be bad fuel, checked the oil, etc, all good. my only guess is bad fuel.

appreciate any responses

Change fuel filter. Disconnect hose from filter and blow air back to tank to clear screen. You are losing power at high loads because the engine cannot get enough fuel. Mine does it every few years, usually the tank screen. Good luck.

the tractor has been doing just fine, did as you guys told me to do, but now occasionally and not very often the tractor stalls for about 5-10 secs. it doesn't come to a full stop, it just stalls and then picks up again when i slow down and wait for a few seconds. it happens at odd times, doesn't really have to be uphill, just on the road or off the road. any ideas?? bad gas?

thanks

Did you blow out the line from the filter to the tank?

sorry for the late rep;ly guys. yes i blew air and still stalls. its gotten worse last 2 days. i changed the filters, everything looks clean except this stalling. could this be bad gas? i was thinking of putting some seafoam in it but i hear it';s bad for the motor. any more hints appreciated. thanks
