:welcome: to TBN

A leak. Now where to find it... maybe a head gasket?

Also, the radiator is a combination water/hyd. oil cooling design. There may be some interaction there.. seems I've heard of such a thing, but cannot find anything in a search.

I would say something in the motor. I don't believe there is a oil cooler in a 425 that uses engine oil. But maybe there is. I don't recall seeing an oil cooler made into the radiator on any of the 425s I have owned.

This schematic of the hydraulic oil flow for the 425 is what leads me to think that hyd. oil cooling is incorporated along with the coolant for the engine.
But am not sure if the OP meant in the engine oil, or in the hydraulic oil or if oil is showing up in the coolant.

ercell, maybe you could confirm where you found the coolant and oil mix.

I was assuming he meant we his coolant is mixing with the engine oil. I may be wrong. That schematic does show the transmission/hydraulic oil going to the radiator though.
