John Deere 430 Overheats

Sprinkler systems are very common in Florida.

Bahia is all over northern Florida.

I did not know that.

Sometimes knowing the general area of a fellow TBN'er saves some time and confusion.

At the risk of being referred for therapy, let me point out that the tire valve stems on the 430 are on the inboard side of the rim. Yes, you have to position the tractor exactly right, apply the parking brake, get on your knees in the dirt, and reach behind the tire to inflate it. God help you if the tire is flat.

I am assuming that the authorized John Deere mechanics who maintained this tractor didn't put the rims on backward, of course.

Rims are reversible to extend the rear wheel base width.

From 45" to 51.5"

Which way are yours set?

Do you have the Operator's Manual OM-M75883

Do you think you have the original type (turf) tires installed or are they the bar type (option) or other (grip)

Someone probably did that so they could mount wheel weights. You can swap them around to get the stems on the outside. Put the one on the right on the left side, and the one on the left on the right side.

That applies to the completely solid wheel weight and not one that has a cutout for the air valve which would also need an extension added on to keep it easy for airing the tires
