Well after 11 years it looks like bi need to finally replace my original battery. Any suggestions on with what? Should I look at optima? Or stick with a standard battery from the dealer? Thanks for the help!

Don't know which is better but the replacement I got from the JD dealer for my 4300 has been strong for 5 years. Nothing worse than being snowed in and the tractor won't start.

I got a battery at the local Advanced. It died. I got a battery at Walmart because I had a $100 gift card. Third battery in 17 years of ownership. The Advanced Auto battery lasted as long as the OEM battery the tractor was shipped with. Translated the first two batteries lasted about 8 years each. I see no need to not continue using flooded wet cell batteries.
