John Deere 445 questions

Tractor is all back together and running great!

In addition to the Cam Shaft, I replaced the gear for the oil pump, the gear for the water pump, and the push-rods, all of which were bent. I also replaced a few gaskets, and used a tube of a liquid gasket I got from a neighbor who installs headers on cars. It seemed to work great.

Thanks again to all who offered advice! I'm hoping to get another 1086 hours out of this machine!

Happy to hear you are back up and running. Keep the fluids changed and you'll get another 1000 out of her.

In case you are wondering, the frame is the same on the x495 as on a 425. I bought a snow blower from a 425 and had to reverse the hydraulic lines and add 2 90 deg fittings to the quick coupler end and get a different drive shaft. It was still about 1/2 price of a new blower. I don't know if the newer x700's are the same frame for sure but I suspect they are.
