Had posted this question in John Deere Agri forum never had a answer other than pin broken.
The problem is display shows the 4 whl. drive or 2 whl. drive when lever is in proper position. but continues to stay in 4 whl. drive.
Looking on line to j.d.parts catalog 9398 shows the shaft going into front drive housing section 50 page 328 and so my question the tractor is going to have to be split . to replace part#3 a pin in shifter fork.#2 or is there any other way to access this part?
Has any one had to repair this problem and what to look for in problems.
Know the engine clutch will need to be blocked up as well transmission blocked from moving to separate the housing.
drain the hydraulic fluid. am I missing anything in this planned repair ?
