John Deere 51 broom rotation wrong

The JD pictures show it mounted on the front of a JD tractor.

From your first message, hooking it up to your quick hitch I think you said - are you hooking this up to the 3pt on the rear of the tractor? In effect, turning it around?

The front PTO on the John Deere tractors that this broom is designed for is 2000 RPM and rotates the "opposite" direction relative to the attachment compared to a standard rear PTO.

At one point, I was looking at adapting my JD front snowblower to be rear-mount, but it was too much work to flip the rotation direction.

No, I want to use it on the front.

I guess I could rig it to the rear pto but that would be hard on the neck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now _that_ you can do without flipping the rotation of the pto! Study it out real careful, it will work on either end.
