John Deere 6115D - what is equivalent in Kubota line?

/ John Deere 6115D - what is equivalent in Kubota line? #11
Looking on the John Deere site it list shipping weight for the 6115D as 9,390 lbs so it is about the same as the Kubota.

The Kubota comes standard with a 24F/24R transmission where as the Deere has a 9F/9R tranny and I don't think from the site there is an option with more speeds.

Hydraulic output: Kubota is 18.7 (110GX) & 20.4 (126GX) and Deere is 18.4 GPS. So again about the same.

3 pt lift, Kubota 6834 lbs is standard & 9447 lbs is optional, couldn't find the spec for Deere.

Purely from the specs they look like very comparable tractors with the transmission going to Kubota but really the best thing you could do is go operate them back to back and see which one fits you better as I'm sure either would be great.

Hope this helps, I was bored and felt like checking these out.

Thanks, I am glad you did. Surprised the weight is so close between them. Did Kubota make the new tractors heavier or is the 6D lighter weight to begin with. When I have spare time I will look into it more but I needed my TBN fix to get me through the day

I'm like Robert I would have guessed the JD would be a couple thousand pounds heavier than Kubota. I know in the Utility size and down that is the case.

I was surprised as well to see the Kubota is about the same weight.

I think Kubota is trying real hard to move into the AG market. They have realized they had to add weight to compete.

For me I was after a Utility tractor and didn't need the additional weight. JD's weight in an equivalent tractor actually drove me away from green.

I did a quick build on the JD site and the price jumps quick for the M and R models (options are better also).

6115D ~ $66,000
6115m ~$92,000
6115R ~ $103,000

All these prices and the previous Kubota prices do not include a loader, just a base cab tractor.

The d, m and r should all be different weights as well.

I think you're right, I would love to see Kubota come out with one 6 cylinder engines and get in the market up to about 250 hp. More competition never hurts. I just wish I had a need and could afford a tractor like that.

I looked quick but couldn't find the weights for the m or r but I agree they should be heavier. The JD site has a lot of info but is not as user friendly as the Kubota site.

The Deere got lighter, Kubota has always been just under 10k.

Funny how suddenly once a light weight spec is on a Deere people stop asking if its "too light".

Not true, now I need a 7 series :D

I learned that for a field tractor you want as much weight and as long a wheel base as possible that can still do the job. At least for me and my situation that is what I want. I most likely will end up with a Case-IH though.
