850 John Deere
Have a JD 850 diesel, have not had a problem with it. Has been sitting for about a month now and will not do anything when I try to start it. Have checked battery, had started tested, etc., but nothing. When you turn the key nothing, no clicks, etc, except lights come on and fuel gauge moves. It acts like its still in gear, does same thing as when in gear, etc. I appreciate any info or suggestions. Thanks!!

Unless you also have a mid-pto, the only interlock on these series tractors is for the rear pto and transmission. If the pto is engaged or the tractor is in gear, the tractor will act exactly as you have described. Check to make sure the pto isn't engaged. Yellow handle behind your left foot.
