John Deere 955 lost steering and hydraulics at the same time

My John Deere 955 was moving along cutting when a squeal sound was heard and then the steering and hydraulics stopped.

The tractor does move.

Your machine is a Yanmar painted JD green.

Check the hydraulic filter. If clogged clean it.

Hyd oil strainer is located at rear of diff case.

Hope the squeeling wasn,t a metal to metal squeel. Any belt driven stuff that might of somehow got jambed ?

It did sound like metal on metal. I checked all the oil levels and all were full. The hydrostatic fluid was changed a little over a year ago as well as the filter.

That seems like the hydraulic pump has seized, that was the squealing noise. Replace it as may have been damaged. My steering goes out when I am low on hydraulic fluid.
