I have a JD 955 compact tractor. I'd like to trade my agricultural bar tires and wheels for a set of used turf tires and wheels. Tire condition is not important as long as the wheels are not damaged. try your local co op or and heavy truck tire shop ,there was a posting in knoxville craigslist yesterday for 8.50x 16 new tires for $60.00 each !

About 6 months ago, I purchased a 955 that came with ag tires on the tractor, and turf tires on wheels. The turf are filled. If you two don't get together, give me a shout. I'll get sizes and pics. They are awfully heavy to move around, so I'm delaying leaping to do that, until determining your interest. Tires (and I now) are in Arkansas

Hi Larry, I'm about two or three years late to this thread. If you still have your tires ;-) I'm bringing home a 955 with turf tires that look good, I'd love to trade for your ag tires! I do see your photos, and they look great to me.

I have a 955 with Turf Tires and would like to consider changing to Bar tires. The Turf tires are well worn, especially the Fronts, but the wheeels are undamaged. Can you send some pics of the tractor with the tires on and some close ups of the tires. I might be interested

Before getting to the business at hand - the 955 has turned out to be a great tractor, and on reading others comments, it seems we both have purchased well. I still have both the ag's, as well as the turf. I'm in Virginia, the tractor and AG's are in Alabama, and the turf's are in Arkansas. That said, in about 2 weeks I can send pics of the AG's. Before April 15, I can have the AG's and tractor in Arkansas (have to put the turf's on as I'm pulling the ag's. (the tractor was going to Arkansas anyway, so not moving it just for this). I do not need your wheels, as my turfs had wheels that I have since repainted.
While you are waiting for the pics, be thinking of the proposal you'd made re how to handle the sale. Tractor and ags will be in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Just bought some 33x12.5x15 mud grips to put on my 855. My user manual says the 855 and 955 have 36s on them but my 2wd 855 came with 33s. Paid $300 for the pair shipped from Discount Tire Direct on ebay. Have not mounted and tried them yet.

I am very interested as to how these tires work when you put them on. I have a JD 855 that I picked up a while back that has 33x12.50-15 tires on the rear (same as my JD 755) and I need to put tires on it but hate to pay $500 each for the Goodyears. Could you please post how you like them once you put them on? Thanks...Dave
