John Deere 955 - Wheels and Tires

It's turning into a bit of a project. I was perfectly happy with an old faded out tractor but the wife went and bought new decals and front hood lens for it. Now I have to clean it all up and paint it so I can install those so I bought the tires and wheel paint while I was at it.

Yep! I'm in sort of the same situation, but it's a good project to have. I bought the tractor from a guy who had traded it from someone he had done some work for. It needed some TLC and I've put some new parts on and all new hoses on the JD 70 Loader that came on the tractor. But, like you, as I do a little more and more to it, it needs a coat of paint and decals as well as the tires to bring it up to snuff. Interestingly, it has the same size wheels on the rear that my JD 755 has. I have had that tractor for almost 20 years and just had it refurbished and repainted last year. I mainly use that one for cutting grass with the 60" belly mower on it. They are great tractors that will do a lot of work, but the 755 is just a little lacking on horsepower to do some of the things I need to do around here. Looking forward to getting the 855 finished up in the next few months.

Hi larry i finally found new tires (ag tires) for my tractor. If your still interested in the new set of terf tires and wheels i'll let you have them for what my replacement tires cost me $885

Where did you find the ag tires and mfg of them

I'm pretty sure the correct size for the front is 7.00-12. There is a difference between 7.00-12 and 7-12.

My 955 had 7-12 turf's on the front wheels. About 2 years ago, i cleaned them up, painted J.D. yellow, and put away. They look good. Did the cleaning and painting as I had a set of ag's on the tractor (don't want to sell ag's) If you decide to offer, include in message links to the site(s) that identified market value. Wheels are in Mountain View, AR. And while I pass by Nashville, I won't with the wheels until next April, which doesn't do you much good.

Rear 36X13.50-15NHS

Lug tires on Tractor
Front 7-12
Rear 11.2-16
