Re: John Deere "E" Series Hydraulic Systems Failures Overheating, Stuck Valves, etc
I am pretty sure I expressed my experience with this problem in the beginning of this thread. I shopped for a John Deere tractor in the 5xxx series and was told by my local dealer that there were transmission/hydraulic problems in some models and that I should avoid those. I took the John Deere dealer's advice.
I have owned at least one piece of John Deere equipment without interruption since 1978. I currently own one. I also operate a John Deere road grader and have operated 6 different new John Deere road graders since 1989.
I highly respect John Deere equipment. I have never bashed the brand as a whole and have not done so in this thread. My stand here is that there is a problem with some models. John Deere knows there is a problem. They will eventually be forced to face that problem and correct it. It simply saddens me that their first response is to blame the operators.
It also saddens me in a discussion such as this that TBN members, not liking what they read, turn the topic into member bashing. I reread this entire thread. Nowhere in any of my posts did I bash any members or any of their comments. I have simply stated my experiences involving this topic.
Hopefully you will never find yourself in a position similar to what has been described here with any of your equipment, John Deere, Kubota, or whatever brand you wish to insert into this sentence. But if you do I also hope that you will get support from fellow TBN members and not be critized for daring to mention a problem.
How can you say you weren't bashing? Was this your experience?
