Thanks for the tips pump guy, you're right, the screws are extremely tight, i can see how they would be easy to strip. I'll try to loosen it up, if not I'll probably take you up on your offer. Will i be able to time it getting no fuel out of the pump?

Yes someone on here offered to send another member the instructions alittle while ago.. don't know who it was.. you might search it..
You have to go thru the front timing cover & line up the gears.. & break the drive gear nuts/bolts loose..
IF you have the side cover off the pump its a lot easier to tell if your on #1.. just watch the tappet coming up on #1 inside the pump, THEN watch for the marks on the gears..

Ok, i have cover off. I see the springs and the segments ride on top. I see the teeth on the segments that the gears engage. Should I be able to turn those by hand? The segments themselves are clean and loose, i.e. a little freeplay. I havent tried to move them besides pushing a little woth my finger

Its alive! Following pumpguys advice I got her going. Took the side inspection [late off pump. Inside are the plungers. Cranked engine. At first only 3rd plunger was pumping. Soon after the 2nd one broke loose. 1st one was stuck pretty good. Took the delivery valve, the fitting the line that goes to injector comes off of, off and was able to lightly tap the plunger back down into the down position. All of this was being done while applying plenty of penetrating oil, and I've been hitting it with ATF/acetone for the last week or so whenever I had a couple minutes. Anyway, knocked the plunger down, cranked engine. It took awhile, it kept sticking, but eventually it freed up. After the plunger would move, I was able to start working the rack back and forth. Now we're getting some fuel out of the lines. Put everything back together, cranked on her for about 15-20 seconds, and she fired up. Oh what a beautiful sound! Runs like nothing was ever wrong. Cuts great too, no hydraulic leaks. Tires are rough from sitting there flat for so long, put some slime in them and see how they do.
Major thanks are due to thepumpguysc. He was kind enough to give me his email and answered every question I had, usually within an hour or two. This man works on these pumps for his living, so basically taking dollars out of his pocket to help a stranger on the internet. Any tradesman or professional can appreciate that. I would highly encourage anyone needing help on an injector pump to talk to him, and if its more than you can handle, send it to him to fix. I know I will.
Thanks a

Ive just joined this forum looking for help/advice for similar problem as Pflum with my F1145 which has 2 fuel tanks but you can only draw fuel from 1 of the tanks. There is an electric toggle switch which operates a gauge displaying the level of fuel in each tank but this always shows the problem tank as empty (even though it's always topped up) There is a seperate manually operated fuel lever/diverter which has 6 lines going in/out, but no fuel can be drawn from the redundant tank when the lever is positioned towards it. I can only run the mower using 1 tank. Can anyone offer advice for this issue. Thanks in advance.
