What is the problem with someone liking what they own? Is there a problem with pride of ownership? Is it wrong to be proud of what you bought? If someone wants to own a Kubota (or three for that matter) or any other brand that is their choice. I don't need to bust on anothers decision to make me feel better about my own.

Nothing wrong with that at all. The issue is the implication that everyone else made a compromise by purchasing something else... which anyone who's not wearing green sunglasses would obviously disagree with.

I believe lbrown was refering to the fact that the poster implied that JD was the best, no matter what.. and that everybody sectrtly wanted one.. but many couldn't afford them.. yada.. yada.. yada.. etc. That's the 'hooey' part.. etc...

Kubota is just the best equipment you can buy and not everyone can afford the premium to own one. But everybody wants one no matter how much they say they don't.

I dont know of a tractor out there(make,model, whatever) that I would consider being a "cheap buy". a deal, yes. cheap? not hardly.

There is just something about buying an American brand that you can feel good about. Supporting a US company where there is so much competition out there. It's supporting USA. Yes I know parts are made over seas, but the company is American. I am glad that Ford, GM and Chrysler are finally coming out with better products as well. When I was in Japan, they really only want to buy Japanese brands because of their alligence to Japanese company's. I feel the same way about buying from American company's like John Deere. But I won't buy low quality products from American company's either.

I think part of the problem was we lacked confience with American products that now we have a hard time trusting them when they come out with better products.

I never said I agreed with what anyone said, just their right to believe whatever they want. My sunglasses are black by the way...

I buy JD because I want to also. Don't consider myself a lemming--even if someone else thinks me a lemming I don't give a furry rat's @#!. For years and years the best I could afford was a wheel barrow at Home Depot. Things turned around quite a bit and I am very proud of my green and yellow friends. My lower back is even prouder.

Even painted my grubbing hoe and #2 shovel green and yellow. Maybe I can make a JD commercial?????

Ain't gonna paint the wheelbarrow though.
