The sad part about what John Deere and others are doing is that all of the necessary diagnostics could be built into the software of the implement. You shouldn't need a "tech" to come and diagnose.
I certainly agree with this. If the diagnostics can be built into a little gizmo that you plug into a box on your car/truck/tractor, they can be built in as part of the vehicle. All dash boards are becoming just LCDs. Just feed the diagnosis back to the dashboard.
